Tab Trade - The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres institutional desks use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from a single account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it after using both.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently coming. That will be a good addition when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform run 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it comes down to your priorities.

Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual deposit match. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you deposit.
